The end of this piece sounds like a promotional piece. It’s not. No sponsorship is in place. When I was in primary school I had a simple text-book on touch typing or at least typing efficiently with one hand. It wasn’t really a text-book in the traditional sense; rather a case of 100 typed pages, somewhat yellowed and simply stapled.  My school at the time decided (with my parents I’m assuming) that it would be useful for me to learn to type. the long wait is over

My circumstantially imposed technology retreat is finally over. BoB — my new modem with VOIP arrived yesterday after being sent to the wrong box number and then being unable to be delivered to a box at all. I set him up last night as visitors were here when he arrived. It took a bit of fiddling as these thing often do as we already had a wireless modem in the Time Capsule for backing up which wants to be the only router, but that can’t then work with the VOIP phone line. so, so yesterday

In a vague half hearted attempt to find blog statistic tracking tools for this blog I found this. It’s a discussion of the trends around blogging; whose doing it, whose reading them, how often people update and burn out rates. Its an interesting read which traces the rise and it believes fall of the phenomena. It quotes predictions that the micro blogging tools of things like Twitter will take over, owing presumably to the speed factor.
