Not that he got my name right, but Cameron runs an association of podcasts (audio files that you can play through an iPod or through your computer) as a commercial venture here in Australia. Cam features in many of them and although he swears a tad, many of his political/social justice views are thought provoking.
It is nice to see Australian voices amid all the US stuff online and
I suppose I would be inclined to support it on that basis alone. G’day World
was my introduction to the network; more specifically when the episodes
were interviews with interesting minds from here and abroad. It has
changed format chameleon like a couple of times and now has a co-host
in sand groper Richard Giles and is often a good giggle.
I listen to many of the shows on The Podcast Network . They are good brain fodder. Citizen media stuff
Anyway, a few days ago Cam was asking listeners to spread the word
about the show. Now many of my contacts would agree or find the rants
fascinating and well-informed, but I emailed Cam and pointed out that
his use of language meant I hesitated referring people to it. I’m no
prude but listening to swearing through ear-buds might be off putting.
Anyway the email resulted in a sporadic dialog with playful
teasing and such on Cam’s part. They interviewed another female
listener who gave feedback and now I’ve (or someone called "Joanne" ![]()
)had 2 mentions on the latest podcast (both in the 16-26 mins time slot).
Bottom line: I’ve agreed to do the interview. So watch this space, I
suspect it’ll be fun. I’ll get the "mickey" taken out of me quite probably. So
subscribe and have a listen!

very sorry about the name joanna goanna… will remember it when I have you on the show!
Look forward to the broadipod or podcast or whatever. I have been interviewed on several occassions and the important thing seems to be to decide beforehand what it is that you want to tell people. What sort of reaction do you want. Then make sure you say it and say it again.
Did you get interviewed? I was looking forward to listening to the show – or at least the bit involving you.
