Crikey II

So anyway continuing from yesterday’s blog (which I meant to continue yesterday, but …. :) ). I introduced a friend to yet another Andrew Bartlett bite into the technology apple; his blog. Earlier in the week as part of my mouching I  had discovered he was interviewed on a Australian podcast network; G’day World which is quite good.

Andrew Bartlett is the former leader of one of the smaller political parties in Oz. A party which I have watched with interest partly because I believe in it’s basic ideals and partly for family reasons.

It has to be said that the party has struggled for the last three years. Not so much in policy develop. More so in the senses of relevance, and to some extent stability. Including multiple rapid changes in leadership among the small group of parliamentory membership.

Bartlett was one of the more controversial leaders — ending up with accusations of alcoholism which according to the blog appears to be fact.

My observations on Bartlett are in basic terms that he communicates better on paper or screen  better than in spoken form.

So– yes I gave him that site. He gave me Crikey.

Crikey …..It’s a blog

Been spending a few moments over the last couple of days filling in time on line. Waiting for academic paint to dry as it were. So been mouching online. Playing with podcasts and Pages — The new fangled word processor made by Apple which I now have as part of my “package” from the uni. I have also spent more time learning; or rather rediscovering blogging and journalling — both off and on-line, as well as various other technological marvels especially those which are supposed to interconnect we who are far from home to those would miss us.

Ok …. the story so far….

Ok so this is another attempt at me writing…. this time in response to a question I get asked a lot. In one of the more insightful questions Clare’s sister Jaqi(something that should not and did not surprise me about her. She asked me;” what’s the most irritating thing about able-ism from your perspective?”. Not perhaps a foreign question, but it got me thinking.

Not that I intend just to whinge by the way ….

So thanks Jaqi! :)
